The night with a radiant sky; With speckles of shooting sparkles And swaying gilded lanterns . A celebration of the perennial rite. The resonating sounds of fireworks And aureate filled with luminous wonder . Array of earthen pots on the porch , And houses brimming with delicacies. Beaming faces around the block , Firing rockets and hopping around . A peaceful gathering of thy kinsfolk, Adorned in charming chiffon drapes. A busy thoroughfare of flower markets, Temples and towns thronging people . The legend of triumph of good over evil ; Holy day for the rich and poor . Celebrated as seasons come and go, The auspicious festival of lights.
