Born a girl, with dream so bright, As innocent child, pure as light. You claimed the steps as a bride one day, Leaving your dreams so far away. Yet I became your reason to smile, your child The food you loved, you gave up for me. The new clothes were mine, while you Wore the old ones without complaint. I always wondered how you solved every problem, I grew proud of the strength you bore, A conference I still adore. I grew up by eating your youth, A sacrifice, a sacred truth. If there's another life to start anew, Mom, may you be born as a daughter to me.
