The Algorithmic Waste Land

Hypocrite reader—my twin, my executioner, my algorithmic Jayadratha. You cradle chaos in your palm and call it connection. Ashwathama’s curse glows red across your quiet screen. Achilles scrolls the ruins—each pixel a ruined boy. “This is not Troy,” he says, “yet the rubble rhymes.” Jerusalem burns; Kurukshetra reloads; the feed chants “amen”. Gods unfollow followers; prayers refresh to spam. Valor updates nightly, its gold cached and forgotten. A child’s gaze freezes mid‐cry, archived in cloud despair. “We have outlived meaning,” one mutters—or both—it echoes. The wind types in binary; the sea replies in code. Time spins, buffering eternity’s slow collapse. Somewhere drums, somewhere bombs and drones—both hum the same dirge. I try to log out, but the blood asks for a password. And still they argue—in your reflection, behind the glass.
