Water and salt

It's so sweet as a memory. The time spent by you and me. Your memories surround me like the ocean around someone dying of thirst. I reach my hands out – to be held. Yet, your touch dries me out , turns me cold. I weep in front of you, but the sun above is scorching hot. Tears evaporate and no marks are left. I scream my love for you, the sound of shores cover it up. You are my water and my salt. You gave me reason to be alive, yet left me drained inside.
