Losing someone close to you, Does weird things to your soul. You find parts shrivelling a bit, Knowing you couldn’t be a part of their tour. The feelings you’ve kept so well hidden, Threaten to throttle you, everytime you see them discard you like you were nothing but a chore. You convince yourself with a story That things are just for the better. Just to witness the turmoil of all the ‘what ifs’, That you battle each day within your core.
