Obsession

Submitted By: Ishaan Dhar

----------------------------------

I watch the sun set in her eyes And lose track of time that flies Her hair, as deep and dark as ink, Sways with winds like strands of silk. Her scent, a soft ballet in air, Silently tempting, asking if I dare To rush into her calm, sweet embrace, To lose myself, and find my place. I envy the sun, that lord of skies, For the glimpses it steals from her gentle eyes. Woe to the water that strokes her skin, For any touch but mine is sin. I call forth my gods to bear witness: In poverty, in pain, in wealth or fitness, My love is hers; here, there, always and forever.
